Last week I graduate with my classmates with a 2:1 BA (Hons) Communication with Public Relation and I was ridiculously proud of myself.
Going to university and getting a 2:1 was something I never thought I would be able to do. At school I wasn’t the best student and in 5thyear I was told I might as well leave there and then as I was never going to amount to anything. In my opinion no child, no matter how good or bad, should be told that they are never going to amount to anything.
I was very lucky to have support family and friends to encourage me that I was able to do whatever I wanted if I worked hard and put my mind to it.
So, that’s exactly what I did. I worked extremely hard for four years and proved to everyone, including myself that I could do it and I was able to get as good a grade as I did.
The main thing I learnt through my experience is that you should never let anyone tell you that your aren’t good enough and that hard work and determination will get you places you never though you could go.
