Lifestyle: My New Lifestyle

So 3 months ago I decided that I was going to leave my life in Aberdeen to move home and I have to say it is the best decision I have ever made.

Since moving home I have gone from having no job, to a temporary job, to having a 3-day internship and working part time as a waitress. I am a little busy to say the least but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I absolutely love my internship as a Communications and Sales Intern at Tweetiepie Media and my part-time waitressing job at the cutest little riverside cafe in Gourock called One Cove Road. I can say that for the first time in a while I’m really happy with my working life.

Even though I work 6 days a week, I am still finding more time and motivation to blog. I had really missed blogging, as not only is it a creative outlet and place for me to write, I get to learn about photography, editing and graphic design. I guess that secretly deep down I have a desire to be constantly learning.

As well as working, blogging and socialising I was given the task of decorating my new room (Photos below). I really wish I had taken before photos to show you the full extent of the transition but I was too excited to get started. It wasn’t just about a bit of paint and some furniture for this room though. I helped my Dad dismantle the built-in wardrobes, filled in holes in the wall, ripped up the laminate flooring, painted the walls and skirting boards and fixed the radiator. I think my dad really enjoyed teaching me how to do all these things. He has currently hurt his neck/shoulder so found it difficult to do some of the more labouring jobs he usually loves doing and I have to say I loved learning – I definitely picked up some excellent skills for life there.

So the transition into living with my parents is done and a lot easier than I thought. 2015 has gotten off to a great start and I can’t wait to see where it takes me. Let me know what you think of my first interior design project!

I’m glad you are loving life back at home. I recently moved back in with my parents too, and although it’s great to have the home comforts (and be a little spoiled) I definitely miss having my own space.. :( The saving continues…
