Adventures in Vintage a Glasgow Christmas Market with a Passion for Scottish Talent and Vintage Flair.
Adventures in Vintage, a new event in Scotland, will hold its first Vintage Christmas Market in Glasgow’s Trades Hall on Sunday 20 th December. The concept behind the Adventures in Vintage is to host events in unique venues across Scotland, incorporating the best artisan makers, crafters and vintage sellers. The event will play host to everything from a Vintage Tearoom, to a Santa Claus and Carol Singers bringing the nostalgia of a bygone era to life.
Adventures in Vintage do not limit themselves to traders who only sell vintage, but rather look to incorporate a wider range of market traders, with a vintage influence on their wares. This market will play host to everything from the gorgeous homewares of Urban Rebel Design, to vintage eyewear from the Eyedresser; Christmas Boxes from The Smoked Game Company, to upcycled pieces The Glasgow Furniture Collective. Carolyn and Tania established Adventures in Vintage in 2015 after meeting at a market. They discovered a shared love of all things vintage and gothic, and a shared vision of a new kind of market experience, creating not only an event for customers, but also support for traders, whilst making the most of unique venues. Adventures in Vintage is a movement away from fast fashion and massproduced homeware, and is tailored towards consumers who appreciate products made and curated by people who are passionate about what they do.
Tania Eadie, cofounder of Adventures in Vintage, said:
“We are very excited to be hosting such a talented creative variety of makers crafters and vintage sellers at our market in December. We both love vintage and see finding a really special object especially something specific you were looking for as a bit of an adventure hence the name. With this new business venture part of what we are doing is exploring in order to find unusual and interesting venues. The Trades Hall is one such venue –it has tons of charm is soaked in Glasgow history and we’ve been told has its very own ghost. In future I’d like Adventures in Vintage to be known for our professional creative and determined approach to supporting our traders and helping them to make the most of their products”
Adventures in Vintage Christmas Market will be held on Sunday 20th December from 11am-5pm, in the Trades Hall, Glassford Street, Glasgow, G1 1UH. Admission is £2.
