Voting – “a method for a group such as a meeting or an electorate to make a decision or express an opinion, usually following discussions, debates or election campaigns. Democracies elect holders of high office by voting”
This week the Prime Minister Theresa May called a snap election to take place on the 8th June 2017. Polls currently indicate that she could win a huge Tory majority in Parliament.
The point of this blog post is not to tell you who to vote for or to influence you to vote for a certain political party. The point of this blog post is just to ensure that you make your vote count – BY VOTING ON 8TH JUNE.
When it comes to elections it is so important to vote. In the 2010 general election a MASSIVE 15.9million people did not vote. They just did not vote or have their say. These people who did not vote could of changed they way our country has been run for the past seven years and can change the outcome of this snap election – it is so important that you vote! (I have said this a lot already but it is so true).
It has never been more important to vote. If you are unsure about who to vote for then you can take this quick five minute quiz which will ask you if you agree or disagree with certain statements. At the end you are given a percentage of how much you agree with each party that you can vote for – this gives you a better idea of who to vote for you if you are completely unsure. You can take the quiz here.
In order for your vote to be cast, you must be registered to vote. If you are not registered to vote or you are unsure if you are registered then please register here.
