Laser Hair Removal with Therapie Clinic

When Therapie Clinic asked if I would like to try some of their laser hair removal treatments, I jumped at the chance. I’m not going to lie I was excited, but also terrified. I had loads of questions regarding the treatment. How long would it take to see results? Would it hurt? How does it work exactly? 

Before my first treatment at St Vincent Street, Glasgow clinic, I had a thirty-minute consultation with my therapist Haimen. Luckily she was able to answer all of my questions and I was totally relaxed about the treatment ahead. We agreed on the areas that would receive treatment; my underarms, lower legs and bikini line. 

So far I have had three treatment sessions. The first was way back in October 2017. You have to wait six weeks between the sessions and an additional four weeks if going abroad and being exposed to sunlight. As I headed to Abu Dhabi in November 2017, it meant my second session was not until January 2018. Then with going to Vegas and LA at the start of February, it meant that my third session was not until earlier this month. I was a little worried that the treatments would be less effective as there was so much time between each of my first three sessions. 

Amazingly, this has not been the case. I have noticed a huge difference in each area with just three sessions. I would say my underarms have around 70% less hair already with my legs and bikini line around 50%. It is seriously impressive and I can not wait to see what happens after my final three sessions. 

The main thing I was worried about was how painful the treatments might be. As someone with a very low pain threshold, it is not difficult for me to find something painful. I find the treatment not to be painful, in fact, for me, the worst part is the cold gel being applied before the laser hair removal treatment begins. 

Usually, to get my underarms, half leg and bikini line treated it takes an hour. This allows for discussion of any changes with your consultant, time to block out the skin into squares to mark the areas to be lasered and the laser treatment itself. 

So, at the halfway point of my treatment, I have been so impressed with the team at Therapie Clinic as well as the treatment itself.
