Product Review: Allay Organics Calm Cream

A few weeks ago, Sydney based brand Allay Organics got in touch and asked if I would like to try their Calm Cream. I looked into their products and was keen to try it out.

I was really taken to Julie Stegnaic’s, the founder of Allay Organics, story. She had struggled with chronic eczema most of her childhood and adult life. After years of steroid dependency, she developed topical steroid withdrawal and later red skin syndrome, taking over two years to completely recover.

Julie decided to find a natural form of relief when her own children started to demonstrate the same symptoms she experienced as a child. Determined to break the cycle, and having a background in scientific and medical research, Julie became intensely involved in studying herbal medicine to find a natural remedy.

Over 10 years, Julie worked on developing a combination of ingredients used in the Allay Organics Calm Cream which provide relief for dry, itchy and reactive skin.

When I first opened the parcel from Julie I was taken by the beautiful packing. Allay Organic Calm Cream is beautifully designed and looks like a high-end beauty product. It was a nice change to the usual medical or prescription look of most psoriasis alternative products. As the product didn’t look like a typical psoriasis product I was confident to take this product in public and use when I needed to throughout the day. I know that for me in the past I have been hesitant to take a prescribed cream out due to the obvious packaging.

The cream itself feels heavenly on my skin and smells incredible. A little of this product goes a long way and the cream can be easily applied to the body or face. I used the Allay Organics Calm Cream on both my forehead psoriasis and my bellybutton psoriasis. I noticed a huge difference in my skin after a few weeks of use.

After a few weeks, I noticed that my psoriasis was less red and irritated than it had been. I didn’t feel the side-effects that can come with psoriasis such as much such as itchiness and flakiness anymore either which was a huge bonus!

This is definitely one of the top psoriasis products I have used on my skin that is available over-the-counter. The product is a higher price point than some creams and it does ship from Australia. However, I would highly recommend this cream to anyone looking for help with itchiness, flakiness, and redness alongside their medical treatments for psoriasis.

This is a product I will always keep and repeatedly buy for days when my psoriasis won’t behave.
